Field Supervisor
The primary responsibilities and objectives of the Field Supervisor include planning, coordinating, and evaluating
telecommunication construction crew’s activities under the direction of the Construction Manager/Project Manager.
Support project timelines, conduct inspections, designing and providing accurate as-builts for projects. Other duties,
responsibilities and qualifications may be required and/or assigned. (This is meant to be a guide. Duties may vary
dependent upon management.)
Essential Position Functions:
• Supervise and schedule multiple projects and/or objectives simultaneously.
• Serve as the POC between stakeholders: Managers, in-house crews, sub-Contractors, municipalities, and the
client.
• Assist the Managers in the drafting and issuance of project proposals, RFPs, and preliminary schedules.
• Complete any necessary paperwork (daily/recurring), reporting, etc. required for project initiatives and/or
objectives.
• Work with external contractors in addition to internal resources as required.
• Track and report initiative and/or objective progress on a daily and weekly basis.
• Communicate/discuss initiative and/or objective status, quality, and client projected timelines to completion as
required.
• Supervise SOW and client change orders and internal change orders.
• Understand billing and accounting procedures. Provide daily, weekly, and monthly billing.
• Ensure timely completion of required deliverables.
• Responsible for overseeing company vehicle, tools and equipment are being maintained.
• Responsible for overseeing loss prevention of materials, tools and equipment.
• Responsible for ensuring and approving time reporting daily for direct reports.
• Responsible for providing semi annual and annual performance reviews of direct reports.
• Ensure employees are following established and TrueNet mandated Safety and Health Guidelines.
• Perform work following established and TrueNet mandated Safety and Health guidelines.
• Other duties as assigned.
Education and/or Experience:
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 3+ years of field supervisory experience preferred/ Equivalent, applicable experience in lower-level role may be
substituted.
• Experience with a major MSO/telecommunications construction operations preferred.
• Intermediate level proficiency with a Windows operating system required.
• Intermediate level or higher with Microsoft office applications (emphasis on Excel).
• Proficiency with Adobe products preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills required.
• Ability to prioritize and complete assignments accurately and in a timely manner.
• Able to effectively handle multiple priorities with a strong attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, oral, and written communications skills.
• Must be able to work alone, and with a team.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and have a clean driving record.
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen.
