Right-of-Way (ROW) Agent- Telecom

TrueNet Communications is seeking a ROW Agent for our Professional Services Division. The work schedule is normal business hours, Monday-Friday with some flexibility needed dependent upon business needs. We look forward to reviewing your resume!

The ROW Agent is responsible for the coordination projects to ensure execution of all tasks. This role will provide project document management support to cross-functional teams by assisting in the administration, archive and tracking of essential documents of assigned projects. The Construction Services Support Specialist will collaborate closely with program managers across departments to provide support for all aspects of and project planning/management. (This is meant to be a guide. Duties may vary dependent upon management.)

Essential Position Functions:

  • Receives, routes, tracks, and pays invoices for contractors.
  • Develops and maintains effective, efficient filing system to maintain paper flow and ensure data is retrieved quickly and as needed.
  • Creates and assigns capital project numbers for financial tracking based on approved construction naming standards.
  • Creates and runs reports in enterprise supported software to track department capital and expenses. Support construction department with assigned tasks.
  • Updates and maintains all project databases and spreadsheets to ensure accuracy and timeliness of work.
  • Responds to incoming calls, resolves requests and complaints in a timely manner and uses positive, professional, and effective communication to provide excellent customer service.
  • Organizes workday to maximize productivity and uses efficient and effective time management skills. Builds effective and professional working relationships with co-workers and the corporate office, outside vendors and contractors.
  • Works closely with finance to ensure capital projects are opened and closed in a timely manner to support accurate budget forecasts and spending reports.
  • Places assets in service, updates as-built information and end date tasks upon completion of projects and ensures integrity of the database.
  • Works closely with the corporate office to close PO’s to maintain the integrity of the Open PO reports. Ensures work meets all required regulations, specifications and standards set forth by the company and government agencies.
  • May enter data into computerized databases to track homes passed, maintain serviceability information, or node splits.
  • May obtain construction permits, utility permits and pole applications including make-ready, right-of-way, railroad, road bore and crossing permits
  • May create and file traffics plans for construction projects.
  • Receive and prepare for dissemination Daily High-Profile ticket report. Format and distribute to appropriate teams
  • Assist with Unknown Lines calls, manage and respond within 2-hour compliance ETA
  • Fielding One Call calls for outside and inhouse contractors, planners, customers and partnering with current locate contractor to receive locate marks needed. 
  • One Call POC- receives all One Call related calls and emails from contractors, homeowners and Construction Employees and Management due to no/incomplete or incorrect marks by One Call locate contractor and damages.
  • Research One Call information received, emails and calls from vendor Supervisor to resolve. Follows up with contractor.

Education and/or Experience:

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Associate or Bachelor degree preferred.
  • Experience with a major MSO or Telecom Operator is preferred.
  • Must be proficient with MS office applications such as Excel and Word.
  • Ability to prioritize and complete assignments accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Able to effectively handle multiple priorities with a strong attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, oral, and written communications skills.
  • Must be able to work alone, and with a team.
  • Must be able to pass a drug screen and criminal background check.
